The Differences Between Jammer and Pro Africa Explained
Here at Djembe Drum Shop we’re proud to stock a comprehensive range of both the Pro Africa and the Jammer models of drum. Both are brilliant for different levels of player, so before you snap up one of these models, make sure you know which is perfect for you.
All the drums we sell are constructed by master-craftsmen in Africa, using hardwood from fully traceable and certified plantations. Our Fair Trade drums do however have a few differences depending on the model you choose:
Here are some of the features of the Jammer drum to help you make up your mind:
Natural, hand shaved body with a goat hide skin
Standard 2 ring tuning system
Long length of rope for easy tuning
Tuned using Mali Weave to make tuning simple
The drum is best suited to the beginner player, schools, and drumming circles as they come in smaller sizes. The drum produces a range of high quality sounds and is ideal for solo and group performances. The Jammer djembe drum is available in 6 different designs.
